Damiana is a herb from sunny Mexico which has a history as a female tonic and aphrodisiac.The botanical Latin name of the plant, Turnera aphrodisiaca, describes its ancient use as an aphrodisiac. The medicinal part of the plant are its leaves, which are harvested during the flowering season. With such an ancient history of traditional uses worldwide, it's not unusual that the plant appears in many books on herbal remedies.
