Causes of Thread Veins
Thread veins, or spider veins are most commonly found on the face and legs. They usually pose no health hazard but may produce a dull aching in the legs after prolonged standing.
A number of factors contribute to the development of thread veins, including heredity, pregnancy and other events that cause hormonal shifts, weight gain, occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing, and the use of certain medications.
Causes of Rosacea
To date the cause of Rosacea is not known. Rosacea generally occurs in individuals between the ages of 20 and 70 years, and is much more common in people with fair complexions. Women are more likely than men to have Rosacea, although the condition is often more severe in men. Extreme changes in temperature, very strong acid peels, microdermabrasion and some laser re-surfacing programmes will often cause the condition to worsen.
Apply sparingly twice daily to clean dry skin on face, legs or body. Avoid upper & lower eyelids and lips. Allow to absorb for 3-5 minutes before applying other solution-based products, hydrator, sunscreen, body cream and/or make-up.
Application of Injection-Free products (if used) should precede Red Alert. Results vary depending on the individual, although expect to see improvement within 8-12 weeks. To maintain results and for preventative measures, continue to use Red Alert once daily.
We endorse the use of sun protection. Red Alert may be used as a stand alone treatment.
Do not use Red Alert if you are taking Warfarin or other blood thinning medications. If you are pregnant or lactating, consult your doctor before embarking on dermaceutical treatments. In case of irritation, discontinue use.
